Ingredients A

  • 3 sheets lotus leaf
  • 5 ozs glutinous rice
  • 1/4 chicken
  • 1 oz dried shrimps
  • 4 mushrooms
  • 2 slices ginger

Ingredients B

  • 1 tsp light soy
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cornflour
  • 1 tbsp water dash of sesame oil dash of pepper


  • Rinse lotus leaf in hot water and remove at once, wipe dry.
  • Wash and soak glutinous rice in water for about 3 hours.
  • Cut chicken into small pieces and marinate with seasoning. Shred ginger.
  • Wash and drain dried shrimps. Soak and trim mushrooms, squeeze out excess water.
  • Spread out lotus leaf. Place it on 3 tbsps glutinous rice and top with chicken pieces, dried shrimps, mushrooms and ginger shreds. Then cover with glutinous rice. Wrap well and steam for about 45 mins. Serve.
